Catalog health dashboard
Introduction
Catalog health shows what is missing across your catalog, so you can fix gaps before a collection or drop launches. The completeness score tells you about one product; Catalog health shows patterns across many, such as meta titles missing on 1 512 products, and links straight to the records to fix.
Go to See all → Catalog → Catalog health. You need the Catalog permission.
Tip: You can customize your navigation. Drag Catalog health from See all into the main menu to keep it one click away.
The dashboard is built on your completeness rules: they decide which fields count as gaps. To change what is required, click Completeness rules in the top right, or see the Product completeness score and rules guide.
Figures can be up to 10 minutes old. Click "Recalculate" to refresh them.
Set the scope with filters
Filters narrow the dashboard to the products you are working on. Combining them narrows it further: AW27 + Wholesale + Shoes + September delivery shows only that slice of your catalog.
| Filter | What it does | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Collection | Shows only products in the selected collection | The breakdown switches to the Category tab |
| Store | Shows only products assigned to the selected Direct to consumer or Wholesale store | Also sets which categories, markets and pricelists you see |
| Category | Shows only products displayed in the selected category | Available after you select a store, and resets when you change store |
| Delwin (delivery window) | Shows only products in the selected delivery window | Appears when you select a Wholesale store |
Click Reset filters to clear them all.
Two sections work differently. Explore completeness and Coverage to review follow only the Collection and Store filters, and ignore Category and Delwin. They show gaps across a whole store, such as products not assigned to it at all, which a narrower filter would hide.
Check how ready your scope is
The first card shows how many products are 100% complete, out of all products in the current scope. For example, 1 326 of 1 842 products are 100% complete, 72%. Click How is it calculated for a short explanation.
Archived and cancelled products are never counted, and bundles are not included yet.
Next to it, four cards split your products by two questions: is the product complete, and are its statuses switched on?
| Complete (100%) | Incomplete (below 100%) | |
|---|---|---|
| Statuses on | Complete and active: done | Active with gaps: active, but missing required data |
| Statuses off | Complete, not active: ready, waiting to be activated | Incomplete, not active: still in progress |
"Statuses on" means the product is active, with at least one active variant and at least one active display. With All stores selected, each product is counted once, whichever store its active display is in. With a store selected, only that store's displays count, so a product is active for that store when one of its displays there is active.
Each card shows a product count and its share of the scope. Click the arrow icon on a card to open those products in a new tab.
Active with gaps is the card to watch. Complete, not active is your list of products ready to activate. The card does not say which status is off; open the list to check the product, variant and display statuses.
Find where gaps are concentrated
The Completeness breakdown ranks groups of products by how complete they are, so you know where to start. Switch tabs to group by:
- Collection
- Category, shown with its store
- Language, showing translation completeness for each required language
- Delivery window, when a Wholesale store is selected
Each row shows the share of required data that is filled (Complete), how many required attributes are missing (Missing) and how many products have at least one gap (Affected). Click View to open the affected products.
Fix the gaps
Gaps that reduce completeness has two tables: Launch blockers and Missing required fields. In both, Affected shows how many products have the gap, and rows are sorted by it, highest first.
Missing in counts every place the gap occurs, across all products. A product in two stores with no price in either counts as two stores, so missing in 1 489 stores means 1 489 product–store assignments, not 1 489 stores in your setup. Displays, variants and sizes are counted the same way.
Despite the section name, not every row lowers the score. Launch blockers also lists the status checks Product status active, Variant status active and Display status active, so you can see what is switched off. These never lower the score.
Launch blockers
Launch blockers are gaps in the webshop visibility chain: the minimum a product needs to show on the webshop, such as a variant, an activated size, a store, a display, a market and a price. Fix these first.
Each row is named after the check that fails. For example, Price added for pricelist (at least one) missing in 1 489 stores, affecting 1 015 products, means those products have no price in at least one store they are assigned to. Other common rows are No active sizes added, Category assigned (at least one), Market assigned (at least one), No store added and, for wholesale, Variant assigned to delivery window. A price of 0 and a stock value of 0 both count as filled.
Missing required fields
This table lists the sanity checks and custom fields your completeness rules mark as Required, with how many items are missing each one. For example: Measurement chart assigned missing in 2 098 products, Media activated (at least one) missing in 4 279 displays, or Meta title added missing in 2 026 stores. Your own custom attributes appear here too, under their attribute name. Set a check to Optional in your rules and it no longer counts as a gap.
Where the links take you
Every link opens a new tab with your current filters plus the gap you clicked. For example, with AW27 · DTC · Shoes selected, clicking Description added opens Products filtered to AW27, DTC and Shoes, with Description empty. From there, fix the products with bulk actions, or use Export selected products to get an Excel file of what needs updating.
Each row has one or two links under Tools:
- Products opens the affected products. Most rows have it.
- Displays or Variants opens the exact displays or variants to fix, when the gap sits there. For example, Meta title added links to the displays missing a meta title, and Variant number added links to the variants without one.
Tip: To review a specific attribute across the opened products, add it as a custom column from the column picker. You then see its value for every product at a glance.
Spot products you may have missed
Explore completeness counts products and variants that are easy to forget before a launch: not assigned to a store, not activated on any display, or out of stock. These cards don't change the completeness score.
| Card | Counts |
|---|---|
| One card per store | Products not assigned to that store |
| Variant activation | Variants, active or inactive, that are not activated on any display |
| Out of stock | Variants with zero sellable stock, including variants with no stock recorded |
Click the arrow icon on a card to open the list.
Review your market and price coverage
To be complete, a product needs only one market per display and one price per store. Selling in fewer countries is often deliberate, so Coverage to review shows wider coverage gaps without counting them against the score.
- Market tab: for each market, how many displays are not assigned to it and how many products that affects. For example, Germany: missing in 102 displays, 27 products.
- Price tab: for each pricelist, how many products have no price in it.
With a store selected, you see only that store's markets and pricelists. Click View on a row to open the affected products.
Common workflows
How you work depends on whether the collection is still being prepared or already on sale.
Get a new collection ready for launch
Say AW27 launches on your webshop next week. Most of its products are still inactive while you prepare them.
- Set Collection to AW27 and Store to your webshop.
- Check the overall completeness card and Incomplete, not active to see how much work is left.
- Fix Launch blockers first. Without them, products cannot show on the webshop.
- Work down Missing required fields, starting at the top, where the gaps touch the most products. To split the work, use the Category or Language tab in the Completeness breakdown.
- Check Explore completeness for products not yet assigned to the store and variants not activated on any display.
- Check Coverage to review to make sure every market and pricelist you plan to launch in is covered.
- When you are ready, open Complete, not active and activate those products.
Keep a launched collection in shape
Once a collection is on sale, use the dashboard to catch gaps in active products.
- Set Collection and Store to the collection you want to check.
- Check Active with gaps to see how many active products still miss required data. Their statuses are on, so the gaps are in required fields.
- To see exactly what is missing, go to Missing required fields. It lists each field with the number of products affected, and links to the products, displays or variants to fix.
- Check Out of stock in Explore completeness for variants that have run out.
- When you add a market or pricelist, check Coverage to review for products not yet covered.
After fixing products, click Recalculate to see the result.
Keep the numbers current
The time next to the buttons, such as Updated at 14:34, shows when the figures were loaded. Figures are kept for 10 minutes for each filter combination; after that, the dashboard loads fresh ones.
Click Recalculate to refresh sooner, for example right after a bulk action. Depending on the size of your catalog, this can take a while.
While a section loads, it shows a placeholder. A section with nothing to report shows an empty state such as No issues found. If one section fails to load, the rest of the page keeps working.
